Here’s a little about me…My name is Hannah, a 28 year old from South Wales. I started this blog in 2016 initially to offer advice to students based on my own personal experiences at university. I found the whole experience quite daunting and was very much ‘in the dark’ about my first year, left to discover everything on my own. This actually resulted in me failing my first year of university at Reading which as you can image, I was distraught. However, I swiftly picked myself up and transferred uni’s to the University of South Wales where I ended up achieving a distinction and later achieving a Masters in Marketing at the University of the West of England. I realised that I couldn’t have been the only person to have failed first year, yet there was no advice anywhere on how to handle the situation. That’s when I decided to set up ‘Things They Never Told Us’ to offer advice on all things growing up that I was never told.

Fast forward 10 years later and I’m in a really good place. I’ve got a great career, currently in the process of buying a house and planning a wedding. These big life decisions have made me realise that there’s definitely more to write about. For instance, I honestly don’t know how I’m meant to plan a wedding or who knows anything about buying a house. But I, for sure will be sharing my experiences so you’ll have a better idea going into these life changes for yourselves!
